This conference was conceived out of various discussions about the state of libraries and virtual worlds and the desire to bring together in an affordable and easy way the most exciting analysis of virtual worlds, the impact they are having on libraries as well as those responsible for many of the great programs and immersive projects coming to life with the rise of virtual worlds. While most conferences in the past few years have had sporadic discussions about libraries and virtual worlds, this conference will bring the latest issues surrounding virtual worlds and librarianship to the forefront. Note that this online conference will not be taking place in Second Life. We'll be using Adobe Connect for the sessions.
